Maria Entraigues
AKA "Maria Maria"

I was born in beautiful Buenos Aires, Argentina, I'm half Italian, half Spanish, like most people from Buenos Aires. I came to the US for the first time after being granted with a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. The idea was to finish my studies and then go back home but here I am, established in sunny Los Angeles after fourteen years now. 

While being here I've written songs and performed as a soloist singer for several feature films like "Rush Hour 2" (with Jackie Chan), "After the Sunset" (with Pierce Brosnan), "The Magnificent Ambersons" (with Madeleine Stowe), "Picking up the Pieces" (with Woody Allen), "Diamond Hunters" (with Alyssa Milano), "A Walk in the Clouds" (with Keanu Reeves), the latest one was "Zapata" (with Alejandro Fernandez) directed by Alfonso Arau. Thanks to this project I was recognized with an ASCAP award (2005) after having a song 19 weeks on the Billboard charts, the song was performed by Latin star Alejandro Fernández and it was co-written by Ruy Folguera and Facundo Monty. 
Also as "Maria Maria" I've recorded a song for the soundtrack of this movie put out by Sony Music, some of the other artists in it are: Gloria Estefan, Sin Bandera, Alejandro Fernandez, Reyli Barba, Ana Gabriel, among others.


I also work as a live and studio singer singing for renowned international artists like Perry Ferrell (Janes Addiction), David Foster, Lalo Schifrin, Ricky Martin, Colin Hay (Men at Work), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Cecilia Nol and The Wild Clams, Jean-Michel Byron (Toto), Alejandro Sanz, Maurice Jarre, Ricardo Montaner, Alejandro Lerner, Cristian Castro, Alejandra Guzmán, among others.

Currently I'm playing a starring role on the acclaimed Los Angeles musical "Bandage, The Rock Opera", performing all over L.A.

Besides from music I enjoy reading material related to astronomy, genetics, biology, technology and science in general.
I'm also studying to become a pilot, hopefully I'll get my "private pilot" license this year. Let's fly high!!

Nací en la hermosa ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Soy mitad española, mitad italiana, como la mayor parte de la gente en esta capital.
Me mudé a Estados Unidos con una una beca para estudiar en Berklee College of Music en Boston, Mass. La idea era terminar mis estudios allí y regresar a casa pero aquí estoy, pasados ya catorce años viviendo en Los Angeles.


Estando aquí he trabajado escribiendo canciones y cantando como solista en varios filmes como "Rush Hour 2" (con Jackie Chan), "After the Sunset" (con Pierce Brosnan), "The Magnificent Ambersons" (con Madeleine Stowe), "Picking up the Pieces" (con Woody Allen), "Diamond Hunters" (con Alyssa Milano), "A Walk in the Clouds" (con Keanu Reeves), la más reciente es "Zapata" (con Alejandro Fernandez) dirigida por Alfonso Arau. Gracias a este último proyecto fui reconocida con el Premio ASCAP (2005) como co-autora de la canción principal de la película "Lucharé por tu Amor" la cual se mantuvo 19 semanas en los rankings de Billboard. La canción fue grabada por el famoso artista mejicano Alejandro Fernández y co-compuesta por Ruy Folguera y Facundo Monty. También para este proyecto grabé como "María María" la canción "Zapata Vive" para el soundtrack publicado por Sony Music. Entre algunos de los otros artistas en este album se encuentran Gloria Estefan, Sin Bandera, Alejandro Fernandez, Reyli Barba, Ana Gabriel, etc. 


También trabajo como sesionista profesional tanto en estudio como en shows en vivo, cantando para renombrados artistas internacionales como Perry Ferrell (Janes Addiction), David Foster, Lalo Schifrin, Ricky Martin, Colin Hay (Men at Work), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Cecilia Noël and The Wild Clams, Jean-Michel Byron (Toto), Alejandro Sanz, Maurice Jarre, Ricardo Montaner, Alejandro Lerner, Cristian Castro, Alejandra Guzmán, entre otros.


Actualmente tengo un personaje protagónico en un exitoso musical de Los Angeles que se llama "Bandage, The Rock Opera".


Aparte de la música me gusta leer sobre astronomía, genética, biología, tecnología y ciencia en general.
También estoy haciendo la carrera de piloto privado esperando tener mi licencia para antes de fin de año. A volar alto!!
